And just then some people were carrying a paralysed man lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, \u2018Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.\u2019 Then some of the scribes said to themselves, \u2018This man is blaspheming.\u2019 But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, said, \u2018Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, \u201cYour sins are forgiven\u201d, or to say, \u201cStand up and walk\u201d? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins\u2019\u2014he then said to the paralytic\u2014\u2018Stand up, take your bed and go to your home.\u2019 And he stood up and went to his home.
